Anmol Gagan Maan Sohi

Anmol Gagan Maan Sohi, also known as Gagandeep Kaur Maan, is an Indian politician and a Punjabi folk singer. She’s been a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) since 2020, and has served as co-president of the party’s youth wing.

She completed her higher secondary schooling from Punjab School Education Board in March 2007.

She sang the campaign song ‘Kejriwal hai’ for the Aam Aadmi Party before the 2022 assembly elections. 

In the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly Elections, she contested from the Kharar assembly seat and won. However, in July 2025, she resigned from her position as MLA and also announced her decision to quit politics.

After AAP secured a strong majority in the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly Elections, Anmol was among the five MLAs who were inducted as ministers under chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s government. She held portfolios like Tourism & Culture Affairs, Investment Promotion, Labour, and Removal of Grievances. However, in September 2024, the Bhagwant Mann government dropped four ministers, including Maan, from the Cabinet.

In August 2025, Anmol was accused of corruption. Residents of Teur village alleged that during her tenure, the politician illegally acquired massive amounts of wealth. Anmol allegedly purchased 70 acres of land and collected money from tehsildars in Majri and Kharar tehsils.

Prior to her political career, Anmol was a known figure in the Punjabi music industry, having sung songs like ‘Suit’, ‘Ghaint Purpose’, ‘Sherni’, ‘Zamantan’, ‘Golden Girl’, ‘Royal Jatti’, ‘Red Fulkari’ and ‘Velly’.

Anmol is married to Advocate Shahbaaz Singh Soni.
