Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora is an Indian politician and doctor who currently represents Moga Assembly constituency in Punjab Legislative Assembly. Being an avid worker in Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Dr. Arora combines her expertise in healthcare with legislative governance. She actively participates in development of regional politics of Punjab by occupying important positions within the state structure of her party and paying special attention to development at grass root level.

Early Life & Education

In order to follow her interest in medicine, Dr. Arora decided to pursue her education in foreign countries and received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Crimea State Medical University of Ukraine in 2008. Having returned back to India, she once again proved her intellectual superiority and passed the highly competitive Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) on the first try. This enabled her to be registered and practice medicine.

Political Career

Dr. Arora entered into politics as a representative of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). She has been working with the party for quite some time now and managed to rise up to become one of the prominent figures of the party in Punjab. Currently, she works as the State President of the AAP Women’s Wing in Punjab and contributes to the political participation and empowerment of the female voters. Also, she is working as the Vice President for the AAP Malwa Central (Main Wing).

With her victory, Dr. Arora became the MLA of Punjab for the first time in her life.

There is no known controversy or any criminal incidents that have been reported against Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora based on public record. But in 2026 she filed a defamation suit in Moga court against politician Swati Maliwal, when the latter made derogatory remarks about elected Punjab MLAs on social media.
