Manjit Singh Manna Mianwind is a prominent and experienced Indian politician. He was formerly associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), then he switched affiliations to join the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) prior to the 2022 state elections. He has served as the MLA of the Punjab Legislative Assembly for 3 times and held the position of Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) for Science, Technology and Environment in the Punjab Government. He contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election under BJP banner from Khadoor Sahib constituency, Punjab.
Manjit is 12th Pass as per his educational qualification and completed his secondary education from Government Senior Secondary School, Khilchian Punjab School Education Board, Mohali in 1992 and is declared politician as his profession.
Manjit has almost two decades of experience in politics. From 2002 and 2007 he won the Khadoor Sahib constituency for the two constitutive terms, in his first term (2002) he won against Ranjit Singh & second term (2007) was against Tarsem Singh under Indian National Congress (INC). Then for the third term of 2012 he was again elected as the MLA of Baba Bakala constituency against Ranjit Singh Chhajiwal of INC.
In 2022, he lost the same seat of Baba Bakala from Dalbir Singh Tong of AAP.
In 2024, Lok Sabha elections were also not in his favor, he lost Khadoor Sahib against Amritpal Singh.
Manjit father name is Mohinder Singh. He is married to a business woman who owns a Boutique. He holds the assets of Rs. 1.6 Crore and liabilities of Rs. 21.6 Lakhs.
In early 2022, his political transition was marked by severe controversy related to internal party rivalry, when SAD chose to deny him an assembly ticket, he openly accused the party and regarded it as the party of corruption and nepotism and how the tickets were being distributed to its candidates.
